Visiting “Les Vignerons de Carthage” (UCCV)

Saturday, December 8th, 2012

Together with the Tunisian Wine Tasting Club we visited the winery of “Les Vignerons de Carthage” in Mégrine today. We tasted some of their fabulous wines in a very unique location in Tunisia, a real wine cave.

Mkuze Falls Private Game Reserve

Friday, August 24th, 2012

On our trip through KwaZulu-Natal we moved on to the wonderful Mkuze Falls Private Game Reserve. We were very fortunate to be able to view many animals and witness four cheetah brothers feasting on a young wildebeest in the morning sun as well as two lionesses just finishing their breakfast and then walking into the morning sun.

Enjoy my pictures!

KwaZulu-Natal, Part1

Saturday, June 16th, 2012

The first forty-five pictures of our wonderful trip to around KwaZulu-Natal in April have been published.

Part 1 takes us from Tunis, Tunisia via Dubai, UAE to Durban, South Africa. We arrived when it was already dark at our first hotel: Fairmont Zimbali Lodge, near Ballito. They served us a nice Indian buffet and some good South African wine and beer. The next morning we discovered that the hotel was situated right next to a golf course. But not much time for exploration because we had to get going to the Hilltop Camp in the Hluhluwe Game Reserve further North in KwaZulu-Natal.

The first day in Hluhluwe Game Reserve we spent Game Driving ourselves in the morning and had booked a guided walk through the bush in the afternoon. Due to some coordination problems with the ranger it started an hour late but was very interesting.

Enjoy my pictures…
